How to Refill Fresh Water Tank During Camping or RVing

With a large gas station directly across the highway from where we summer, we have a constant reminder of the price of gasoline and diesel. Lately, the price of diesel was steady at $5.09/gallon but dropped down to $4.99 as the Memorial Day holiday weekend closed, then rebounded to an even higher price. Gasoline, however, has continue to ping pong up and down varying between $4.09, $4.19, $4.29 and is now at the time I am writing this post is at $4.59/gallon.

Hobbies And Interests On The Road: Plane Spotting

My interest in aviation and plane spotting is probably traceable in my DNA. I’m one of those who when they hear an airplane scan the sky to spot it. I can stand outside an airport watching and snapping images of airplanes as they come and go for hours on end. Sit watching the sky for two aircraft high up whose paths might cross each others trying to capture an image of the two as they do. Or the most challenging, capture one passing in front of the moon.

Full-Time RV Travel Roundup #1

We're adding something new this week: A Full-Time RV Travel Roundup

I got to thinking that we're both very active on social media, as are many other RV and Travel Bloggers. We find and share a lot of really good info on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest. But if that info doesn't make it back to our site or into our newsletter, it has a really short shelf life AND it's not helping our blog and newsletter readers.

So, beginning with this post, we’ll publish one curated article a week, sometimes less, never more in addition to our regular blog articles that we write personally. Please let us know what you think of this. Do you like it? Hate it? Want more of something? Or less?

3 Must-Do Scenic Train Rides in Colorado

The Cumbres & Toltec steam engine pulls into Sublette Station.

We often say that our plans are set in jello as full-time RVers. Plans sometimes change with little notice, and that’s been our story for most of 2017. Coming to Colorado at all was a major change of plans, with that idea not even considered until the end of July. Two industry events in Denver were the catalyst for this trip, but the excitement for it was sparked by a little research. And just like that, we absolutely had to take a train ride through the Rockies!

Our first event in Denver was the 37th National Narrow Gauge Convention, where we represented our manufacturing customers to model railroad enthusiasts. You can’t be around that many steam train fanatics for long without getting excited about experiencing riding aboard a real train for yourself.
