Riverside RV Resort
Riverside RV Resort in Robertsdale, AlabamaWe visited this park on October 16, 2014, and stayed for 7 day(s).
This is a small, well-maintained park on the Styx River and just off I-10 in southern Alabama. Out of 53 sites, 10 are pull-through with plenty of room for any big rig. Each site is sufficiently wide, has a concrete pad and patio, and full hookups. Roads in the park were recently paved and there were no potholes!
There’s a community pavilion area next to the river access, and riverfront back-in sites are available for a small upcharge. The Styx River here is shallow and sandy-bottomed – not really a great swimming spot, but in the summer months, it’s a popular destination for tubing.
Since our visit was in the off-season, there weren’t a lot of other RVers, and the park was pretty quiet except for some highway noise. We were able to pull in a good TV signal with our over-the-air antennae, as well as a good data signal through our Verizon MiFi. Cell phone reception was also good. The park does have WiFi available at no charge.
The laundry room is excellent – four nice, clean washers and dryers and a long table for folding clothes. But be sure to bring your own quarters as they don’t have a change machine or keep change in the office. Adjoining the laundry room are three private bathrooms with showers.
We stayed here with our RPI membership at a cost of $10/night.
