Diamond Caverns RV Resort
Diamond Caverns RV Resort in Park City, KentuckyWe visited this park on August 16, 2016, and stayed for 3 day(s).
Diamond Caverns RV Resort is a large, rustic campground on the fringes of Mammoth Cave National Park. There’s plenty to see and do nearby, from taking one of the Mammoth Cave tours, hiking, biking, or kayaking in the national park, to visiting the Corvette Museum in nearby Bowling Green.
The RV resort is large and rustic, with a variety of types of sites. Ours (A-3) was deep, level, and had a full 50 AMP hookup. We had a huge backyard, and had it not been so wet, we’d have sat outside and enjoyed it.
Because it’s a large park, there’s plenty of room to roam – always a plus before and after a day of work at our computers. There’s a nice pool, a mini golf course, laundry center, and all the usual Thousand Trail amenities.
As with so many parks, the roads are in disrepair and would benefit from grading and filling in potholes. Many of the sites are not level. But, all-in-all, we liked this park, and hope to return and spend more time exploring the area in the future.
