Lake Aire RV Park

Lake Aire RV Park in Hollywood, South Carolina
We visited this park on November 4, 2013, and stayed for 7 day(s).

The park is nice. We chose to have a full-service 50 amp site. The sites are grass; don’t worry the soil here is very hard packed and you shouldn’t have any issue with sinking. The sites are pretty level; those with trees, well you will have some bumps and sloping but nothing too difficult to deal with.

My only complaint is the the narrow roads between campsite row and the tight turns. The place is big rig friendly, but you’ll need to exercise some caution as you maneuver through the park as some guests don’t necessarily consider how far or how much their rigs encroach on the roadway.

The park is well maintained, has a nice clean pool and features a lake for fishing (no license required, catch and release only).

During the day you can hear highway noise but it subsides quite a bit in the evening. You’ll also hear trains frequently passing by on the nearby railroad line. The park is in the pattern for the Charleston Joint Airfield, so both military and civilian aircraft are often seen and heard overhead as they approach or depart the field…it’s not overly loud.
