Sunset Isle RV & Yacht Club
Sunset Isle RV & Yacht Club in Carrabelle, FloridaWe visited this park on November 10, 2014, and stayed for 2 day(s).
Sunset Isle RV & Yacht Club is a small gem of a park. This was a stopover for us so we only stayed two nights. We were greeted immediately by the camp host and shown to our large, level, back-in site.
To our front was a tree-filtered view of the marina. We also caught a spectacular filtered sunrise from that vantage point early the next morning. If one of us had only thought to take a picture!
The Gulf was within view, but only from a tall observation deck near the pool. Unfortunately, neither the pool or hot tub were heated during our stay, or we’d have hopped in to relax and enjoy our surroundings. The only downside to this place was the voracious no-see-ums. With a little breeze, they’ll leave you alone, but it was still when we arrived – and oh my, they made it uncomfortable to be outside for any length of time.
This park features large, deep back-in sites with full hookups and cable. It’s big rig friendly, with easy access to get to the park. There’s a nearby IGA for groceries and restaurants nearby, one within walking distance. We paid $24 per night using our Passport America discount.
